Lift tickets (2008/09 prices)
Each area offers three lift-ticket combinations: one covers only the lifts in the resort area, the second covers lifts in the individual valley; and a third is a full Trois Vallées lift ticket.
Skiers who are staying for a week or more will want to purchase the Trois Vallées combination ticket. This combination ticket gives unlimited access to all the lifts and runs in the region (200 lifts; 600 km of pistes). It also entitles holders to a day in another Olympic resortVal dIsère, Tignes, La Plagne, Les Arcs, Peisey Vallandry, Pralognan la Vanoise and Les Saisies.
Hands Free Lift Ticket System: Les Trois Vallées is using chip cards for all ski passes that allow automatic access to lift facilities. Unlike other resorts, skiers will not be asked to pay a additional deposit and will not have to pay a small supplement on top of the daily cost. Keep the receipt that comes with the lift ticket in a separate place, since it will be the key to a replacement tickets should you lose the original. Keep your lift ticket in a safe place. The inner pocket on your left side is perfect. Beware: It is a light plastic card that can easily be forgotten or misplaced.

Who skis free: Children younger than age 5 and seniors older than age 75.
Who skis at a discount: Parents skiing with children receive a 20 percent discount on passes for six days or more with the family pass. The Three Valleys Family Ski Pass costs €720 for two parents and two children younger than age 18 to ski for six days. Each added child costs €169.
Note: Carte Neige Ski Insurance, which pays for evacuation from the mountain and immediate medical care should you get injured skiing or riding, can be purchased for €2.70 a day for adults and for €2.30 a day for children younger than age 13.
