The Trofana Royal (05444-601; €€€; photo left) is the top spot in town. The Hotel Elisabeth (05444-5411; €€€) is at the base stations of the Fimbabahn and the Pardatschgratbahn and has the perfect location, plus pool, sauna and solarium. They speak English well.
Madlein (05444-5226; €€€) has a central location with Zen theme and a selected number of designer rooms, pool, sauna and solarium. The hotel also features two of the best nightclubs in town. The Hotel Post (05444-5232; €€€) has been completely upgraded and features all the amenities including a swimming pool, spa, English-speaking service, a tasteful bar. It has more sedate après-ski, but rather wild nightlife. Staff at the Sonne (05444-5302; €€€) is good with English. The Sonne also has excellent après-ski.
Gasthöfe Goldener Adler (05444-5217; €€€; photo below) boasts one of the best kitchens in town, a sauna and steambath. The Olympia (05444-5432; €€€) near Fimba and Pardatschgrat lifts; Yscla (5275; €€€) near the Silvretta lift; and Charly (05444-5434; €€€) are convenient to everything.
The best B&B or garni in town is Christine (05444-5346; €€€€€). A moderate B&B is Sporthotel Ischgl (05444-5351; €€), formerly named Edi, though it is a bit out of the way, but a good haven for English speakers. As is the Alpenblick (05444-5311; €€)ask for Martin, he also teaches skiing.
The recommended lower-priced B&BsPalin (05444-5445; €€), Lasalt (05444-5121; €€), and Erna (05444-5262; €€).
Prices in Galtür are lower than those in Ischgl. Be sure to ask about the guest card when you arrive. It identifies you for discounts in the town for the swimming pool, and other activities. The telephone prefix is 05443. Many of the hotels have special prices for children. Also note: Galtür has dozens of excellent B&Bsdont overlook them.

The best lodging here may be the Gasthof Zum Rössle right on the center square. It has a fine, traditional restaurant and spa facilities (05443-8232; €€€€€).
The Alpenhotel Tirol (05443-8206; €€) is another four-star. Fluchthorn (05443-8202; €€) is in the center of the village. Almhof (05443-8253) and the Alpenromantikhotel Wirlerhof (05443-8231) are in the midst of the ski area in Wirl. Zum Silbertaler (05443-8256; €€) is a three-star near the tennis center and pool. Try Gampelerhof (05443-8307; €€), Bergfried (05443-8208; €), or Luggl (05443-8386; €€)

Apartments, condominiums, flats
The rental apartment business is well organized and bookings can be arranged through the tourist information office. When writing, provide details about when you plan to arrive, how many people will be sharing the apartment and what facilities you desire. In return you will receive a list with several choices. Make your selection and notify the individual owner, depending on the instructions you get.
Normally, linens and kitchen utensils are included in every apartment. Heat, taxes, electricity and cleaning services may be extra. Expect to pay €30 per person a night, depending on how many are sharing the apartment, where its located and its relative position on the luxury scale.
