Child Care (2008/09 prices)

Hemsedal has excellent child care programs and overall family programs. The Trollia child care center (32 05 53 20) is open from 9 a.m. until the lifts close. A one day program (2 hours) or children age 6 months to three years is NOK300; three days NOK500, four days NOK600. A one day program (3-6 hours) for age three years and older is NOK300; three days NOK500, four days NOK795. Siblings gets a 50% discount. Meals are not provided. Parents must pick up the children for lunch.

New for the 2008/09 season is Lynx Land a.k.a Gaupeland outdoor childcare at Hemsedal Skisenter. Children age 3-10 have lessons, their own private slope, sledding and a variety of snowplay options including a merry-go-round. It costs NOK395 for a half day; NOK495 for a full day; NOK595 for three half days; NOK695 for three full days; NOK795 for five half days; and NOK895 for five full days.

The ski area also arranges programs for children such as night skiing, tobogganing, children's racing and parties.
