Getting there (2008/09 prices):
On arrival at the Unique-Airport Zürich-Kloten, the Zurich International Airport, you either drive or take a train to Engelberg. Driving time from Zürich is about one-and-a-half hours. If possible, make a sightseeing stop in Lucerne along the way.
From Lucerne, direct hourly trains run to Engelberg operated by the Zentralbahn (051-228-85-85). In addition, regular comfortable Intercity or Eurocity trains run to Lucerne.
Engelberg is easily accessible from all directions by car. There are motorways from Geneva via Bern; or from St. Gallen via Zurich to Lucerne (Gotthard route). Leave the A2 motorway at the Stans-Süd exit 16 km after Lucerne and its about a 20 km.-drive to Engelberg.
