For those piloting a private plane or helicopter, Courchevel and Méribel have small mountain airports as well as heliports with charter service.

Getting around: Once at the resorts, shuttlebuses move you efficiently within each valley, but moving between valleys is inconvenient and expensive. For example, a taxi from Courchevel to Val Thorens is more than €140 or a time-consuming bus via Moutiers would cost about €25. Plan on skiing between resorts and don’t get stuck in Val Thorens when the lifts close if you need to be in Courchevel to spend the night. It will be expensive.
