Arosa is not the nightlife capital of Switzerland. The fun is where you make it, usually with groups that seem to form on their own on any ski trip. Arosa’s après-ski activities center around the hotels in the evening. Here you’ll find cozy bars with bands or piano players. There are approximately 20 such bars. Try the Kitchen Club (photo right) in The Hotel Eden or head to the nearby Im Gada in the Hotel Carmenna.

Nuts (081-3773940) or Vista in Casino Arosa probably the hottest disco and nightclub in town — when Vista closes at around 2 a.m. patrons often move to Nuts that stays open till 5 or 6 a.m.

On the slopes a good spot to eat is the Carmennahütte beneath the Weisshorn. The most famous mountain eatery is the Tschuggenhutte. Its Kuhbar gets hopping for lively apres-ski. Get there early or late—it seems to always be crowded. The Sattelhütte with its nearby Sternenbar is good as well with smaller crowds.
