
Getting there:
The closest airport is Zürich; from there Arosa is less than three hours by train. Go first to Chur, where you catch a special train for Arosa. The train ride from Chur to Arosa takes about one hour and is one of the most spectacular train rides in Switzerland.
Getting on and off the train with a family is a chore, but the kids will love the ride and most hotels in town will sne a van to pick up clients from the railway station.
Driving from Zürich to Arosa will take about two-and-a-half hours in good weather. Follow the signs to Chur and after entering the city, follow the signs to Arosa. The road is steep and narrow and requires chains for most of the winter. Arosa has a car park for 460 cars however parking is still a problem. If you are planning on coming to town with a car, check with your hotel about parking.
A free public bus in Arosa makes moving around the resort easier. Each route passes every 20 minutes. Along the main street, two buses pass making the maximum wait time only 10 minutes.
