Lift tickets (2007/08 prices)
Alpe d'Huez has an area lift ticket, Visalpe, that includes 23 different activities, far more than any other resort in Europe or North America. These activities are not minor. They include an outdoor heated swimming pool, an indoor heated 25-meter swimming pool, a regulation hockey-sized ice skating rink, night skiing, cross-country skiing, entrance to two local museums, plus activities at the use sports and convention center use of the fitness room, lifting, indoor golf practice, three tennis courts, four squash courts, table tennis, basketball, indoor climbing wall, badminton, archery, crossbow, martial arts and more. Without the Visalp lift ticket costs are €6 per activity or €48 for 10 activities.

Who skis free: Children younger than age 5 and 72 and older.
Who skis at a discount: Families receive a 50% discount when purchasing the 4th lift ticket for at least 5 days for the same time period for all tickets
Note: Carte Neige Ski Insurance, which pays for evacuation from the mountain and immediate medical care should you get injured skiing or riding, can be purchased for €2.50 a day for adults and for €2 a day for children younger than age 13.

During full moon, the resort organizes descents of La Sarenne by moonlight. Normally there are eight or so of these trips. Participants take the Pic Blanc tram to the top of the resort and gather for a dinner in a mountain refuge then descend under a starry sky.
