Other activities

Alpe d'Huez has one of the best collections of other actiivities of any resort in the Alps. Many of these activities including an outdoor heated swimming pool, an indoor pool, a skating rink and extensive fitness center activities are included with the Visalp lift ticket. See Lift ticket page.

There ia a heated outdoor pool open daily from 10 a.m.– 8 p.m. and an indoor pool at the Sports and Congress Hall that is open from 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Entrance is free with the Visalpe lift ticket

The outdoor skating rink is open from 10 a.m.–11:30 p.m. There is also a curling court. The Sports and Congress Hall also has a fully equipped fitness centers.

For parasailing call Team Delta Evasion (06 08 32 49 59). There is an Ice Driving School open in the mornings and afternoons (476 80 69 97). Snowmobile adventures leave every hour from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. Night sledding is open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. every night (the lift is included with the Visalpe lift ticket). For Scuba diving under ice at Lake Besson call 476 80 30 30.

The modern church Notre-Dame des Neiges built in 1969 is worth a visit. It displays remarkable architecture and has spectacular stained-glass windows created by Arcabas. The organ is shaped like a massive hand. Classical concerts are held here during the season on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. Entrance is €12 or free with the Visalpe card.

Alpe d'Huez also has two movie theaters.
