Cross-Country and snowshoeing (2006/07 prices)

There are three cross-country trails at Alpe d'Huez.

The Brandes Loop starts from the Altiport and has 4 km. of gentle terrain. This is considered a refresher or learner course. The views down into the valley and the Cluy Pass are memorable.

The Poutran Loop starts at the rond Point des Pistes and the northern end of the resort. This 10 km. loop is classified as intermediate.

The Lakes Loop is a 20 km. advanced trail set in the middle of the skiable terrain. It loops bast Besson, Noir and Carrelet Lakes by l'Arpette.

Costs are €7 per day or €31 for seven days (without lifts). Cross-country skiers who want to use the lifts to access their tracks will pay €13 a day or €65 for seven days.

Snowshoeing
There are guided day-long snowshoe tours for €30 and half-day tours that take from two to three hours for €20. Six half days costs €95. Call 476 80 98 30.
